Wash or not?

To wash or not to wash. I was told by Rebecca (and not in her indoor voice either) that I do laundry WAY to often. I do laundry twice a week, Monday and Thursday. At least one whole load is made up of blue jeans. Every day my boys wear jeans, they put them in the dirty clothes. I, personally wear my jeans at least twice before I wash them but maybe that's because they stretch out the second day. Rebecca says her girls wear their jeans more than once before they wash them so what do you think? Are a 10 year old and 12 year old boy crusty enough to wash their jeans every day? That is the question. I know I am a little hyper-sensitive about clean clothes so...

I don't know...I LOVE the way your laundry smells, so why not? Does Rebecca have to wash them? So why does she care? Wash when and what you want, I say!

Hey, I love the way your laundry smells too! What do you use to get in smelling so good? Whenever Booker gets clothes from Trigg, I don't want to wash that good smell away. And doing laundry 1-2 times a week does not sound like too much to me. Bec is crazy.

WASH!!!! If my girls are crusty enough that I wash theirs after one wear then I think your boys are too - not that I think they are crusty or anything, but boys will be boys!

I know how dirty my kids get, so their clothes are only used one day. I'm with you though on my jeans. They always fit better the second day, plus I don't smear food all over them at dinner (unlike two little people in this house) so I CAN wear them again if I want to. So, like Sarah said, do whatever YOU want to do, but for the record, I think you do it right...not like you need my approval though.

It depends on the day. You have to look at them. Are they dirty? DO they smell bad? If so, then wash. I usually end up washing everytime, because we are all too lazy to look at them and determine the extent of cleanliness;) And frankly, half of the time they are dirty enough to need a good wash. When they are older it will be different.

WASH! Scott's only 1 year old, I know, but at the end of the day his pants are C-R-U-S-T-Y and he's not even crawling anymore. Isn't that why Target was created - buy more jeans when the old ones wear out? :)

not wash....c'mon. They are guys. They don't need 'rosy smelling' jeans. After 2 or 3 wears, then wash. I do it all the time...even get up to 5 wears sometimes before washing...and they don't stink!

Wow! So much advise! I love it. I think I will still wash, if any one person notices my laundry smells good, its worth it to wash. Besides, I REALLY don't want to smell them every time. Next time you see Rebecca, tell her the girls jeans need to be washed.

Okay, it took, me awhile to get to this post but to all of you who wonder why I care when Joy does wash...you don't live with her! Joy does wash ALL the time. It feels like everyday. And she thinks its twice a week but when she lets it go it takes two days twice a week and that's 4 days out of 7, sometimes more. When she does wash all day, I don't have a hot shower, or hot anything. And she "can't" go anywhere. Plus, she doesn't fold her clothes, she just leaves them all over her bedroom. In piles. THAT I don't care about, just thought I'd throw it out there. Don't you wish you had a sister watching your every move and analyzing it for you?

AMENDMENT:Joy does NOT leave clean laundry in piles in her room. The piles I was refering to are DIRTY clothes that she has sorted in preparation to launder. Clean clothes are piled on her BED until she gets to them, which can be several hours, but NEVER overnight. Like I said, you only WISH you had a sister like me to air your dirty laundry on your blog. She asked for it...
